next race: Tulsa Tough

Tomorrow Thomas and I fly to Tulsa, Oklahoma to meet up with the rest of the crew who has just spent at least 12 hours in the car/van driving our team vehicles to the race. We do 3 crits there (Fri, Sat, Sun) and then drive half way across the country to Kutztown, PA to set up camp for the rest of the summer. But of course we won't even be in PA long before we take off for more racing.

Joey,
I got your blog from your dad. Great reading. Makes getting caught in a light drizzle on a 40 mile ride in 80 degree weather much more palatable. Congrats on the best young rider blurb in Velo News.

I am trying hard, and seeming to make some headway, in convincing your parents to move to Athens. I miss riding with your Dad. This is such a great cycling town, with lots of good rides and riders here.Know you are always welcome to come up and train and stay with us. I can hook you up on some great rides as well as put you into contact with some riders that are more on your level than I am. Good luck with your racing this season, I really do think you could go someplace with bike racing. I know the genetics are there. I have 20 years on your Dad and he is always a handful when we go at it. Good luck, keep the blog posted it's great reading.

Best regards,

Mike Edmonds
